The children have had another fun packed day of adventure. I have been incredibly impressed by the number of children who have faced their fears and overcome them. Today’s challenges have included Jacob’s ladder, vertical challenge, canoeing, quad biking, trapeze and the very muddy challenge course! Those who were scared of heights have grabbed the opportunity to repeat challenges, and all of them will be feeling very proud of their achievements.
Throughout today the children have learnt many new games with our PGL groupie Dominic including time bomb, stomp and monkey ball. Many of these will definitely become firm playground favourites on their return, I’m sure.
The daily room inspection competition has grabbed the children’s imagination. I’ve never seen dorms in such a tidy, organised condition! Fingers crossed they keep their bedrooms as tidy when they get home! The welcoming committees for the teachers are getting more creative and entertaining each evening, with Poppy’s American welcome bringing everyone to tears.
Everyone was incredibly tired at bedtime, yet despite this, some children are planning on joining Miss Johnson on her morning run at 6:30am! Somehow, I think I may pass on this opportunity in the morning! J
